Azure Portal

  1. Enter Microsoft Entra ID in Microsoft Azure portal (Microsoft Entra ID)

  2. Click + Add

  3. Click App registration in the dropdown

  4. Customize as needed - however this is the suggested default: Name: Quantfolio DeepAlpha SSO Application Supported account types: Accounts in this organizational directory only (… - Single tenant) Leave Redirect URI empty for now - as that will be generated after creation.

  5. Then click Register.

  6. From the created application take note of the following properties:

    1. Application (client) ID (in the example = “1890ef06-3607-43ed-8c95-1edcdd032335”)
    2. Directory (tenant) ID (in the example = “93cdc1ad-9870-4de1-b2d1-93c6fe99e8e2”)

  7. Navigate to Certificates & secrets

  8. Click + New client secret

  9. Enter a descriptive name (to ensure that the administrator of it knows what it is for)

  10. Select expiration time - this process needs to be run at the same schedule and updated in the Settings App before the expiration date.

  11. Click Add to create the secret

  1. Copy the created secret and store it securely for now.

  1. Navigate to App roles in the left menu.
  2. Click Create app role
  3. Create the Admin role (the Value field is what is important and needs to be entered in the Settings App).
  4. Select Users/Groups
  5. Value = admin
